Cream - Wheels Of Fire

Wow, the things I got to hear because I owned this. Actually "these" because I had the two albums individually - the studio one silver with black ink, the live one black and glossy with silver ink. And I swapped them (temporarily) for all kinds of great stuff - the ones that spring to mind are Led Zep one and two. My mum worked in a local public school and somehow got to know some of the kids there, she let it be known that I had these 2 that I would lend to them in return for them lending me 2 albums of their choice.

Once again it was Mike and Tim who got me into Cream, and probably Jack Bruce who made me decide to become a bass player (despite my mum's attempts to get me to play clarinet, drums, guitar, piano..). And I still think Crossroads is Clapton's finest hour (5 minutes ackshully).

I'm gonna get off the tube soon so I'm not going to write any more (and I've dried up anyway).

And no, I didn't see Cream's farewell gig at the Albert Hall, although I tried to get tickets via Peter's dad (see TYA).

I'll tell you all an awful story
Yum yum
They turned me on to the Karelia
of, not on
Each place I go
I'd rather have my country die for me
That's a nice little Guild...
Get me offa this pedestal
Why's he got an apple in his mouth?
Produced by Giorgio Gomelsky
Big Ted's gone, he was a great old pig
I'd swear there was somebody there...
woof
this here next on's rock and roll
notices lean on each other in yearning
are you hung up?
